Professional Development Course in Management, Public Health and Health Sector Reforms

















There is a need to develop managerial competency of district level medical officers for effective planning and implementation of district level medical officers for effective planning and implementation of health programmes and act as lead managers. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India has provided financial supports for conducting Professional Development Courses (PDCs).

The Minsitry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India has identified IIHMR University as a Collaborating Training Institute, to conduct Professional Development Courses on Management, Public Health and Health Sector Reforms, The course is of 10-week duration. The nodal agency for PDC is National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW), New Delhi.

The Overall aim of the course is to improve the managerial competence of district and block level medical officers in public health, management and health sector reforms.
