The IIHMR University has been established by Government of Rajasthan vide the IIHMR University Ordinance, 2013 (Ordinance No 30 of 2013) promulgated on September 27,2013 by the Governor which was replaced by the IIHMR University Act, 2014 (Act No.3, of 2014) passed by the State Legislature on February 07, 2014. The Act of 2014 received the assent of the Governor on 25th day of February, 2014 and was finally notified in Rajasthan Gazette Extraordinary on February 26,2014.

Some Glimpses of “UNESCO International workshop on gender
and drought”, at
Niger attended by Dr. Goutam Sadhu from 21st to 24th
October 2013. 70 delegates from 16 countries representing all the continentals
were participated in the workshop. Dr. Sadhu is also nominated as a core team
member of preparing policy on drought mitigation with special reference to
gender in Africa.
