Management Development Programme

IIHMR, Jaipur Trains professionals in ‘Health Care Operations Management’ by organizing a Management Development Programme

The world today is fast developing in all possible areas. The increasing health facilities have also resulted in a population explosion and at this juncture the major challenge of healthcare organisations is to provide high quality care at a lower cost. It is therefore felt that Health care managers must find ways to get best results from limited resources available.

Operations management is the design, operation, and improvement of the processes and systems that create and deliver the organization's products and services. The healthcare area is filled with opportunities for significant operational improvements. Under the same strategy and with an increasing demand for training in the field of ‘Health Care Operations Management’, IIHMR, Jaipur planned and organised a MDP on the same.

Participants from Nigeria and India participated in the programme. The programme was spread over a period of five days and was much appreciated by the participants and received rave reviews.

Management Development Programme on Supply Chain Management from March 10th-14th , 2014 at IIHMR, Jaipur

An intense training and development programme on Supply Chain Management in the pharmaceutical sector, with a specific stress on rational and judicious distribution of drugs was conducted at IIHMR, Jaipur.

It has been observed by international agencies like the UN that essential medicines are still inaccessible for population struggling with poverty and are still fatally affected by diseases like HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. Under the UN initiative for Universal Healthcare Coverage, a healthcare system can serve at its best only with access to medicines. Access to medicines can be best ensured by proper selection and use of quality medicines, sustainable financing and reliable supply system.

The above mentioned training and development programme was designed keeping in mind the requirements of the Supply Chain Management Sector and participants from Tanzania, Sudan, Srilanka, Malawi participated in it. The programme was of a duration of five days.
